Climate
The Beskidy Mountains are situated along the borders of the Czech and Slovak Republic. The range forms the northern part of the Carpathians. The highest -peak is Babia Gora (1725 m / 5659 ft.). The vast wooded areas are inhabited by numerous species of wild animals: deer, roe-deer, wild boars, wolves, lynx and wildcats. It is a respected tourist holiday region and the ski-trails around the towns of Szczyrk, Wisla and Korbielowa are considered to be the best in Poland.
