Situated on the Atlantic coast, this ancient principality is today an autonomous region with Oviedo as its capital. The ”Picos de Europa” reach an altitude of 2642 m in this mountainous region. Picturesque fishing villages with sandy -beaches dot the irregular coastline, interrupted by steep cliffs, attracting more and more visitors every year.
