Central Switzerland is considered the birthplace of Switzerland. Every year, thousands of tourists visit Lucerne and discover the lake of the Four Cantons and its many small picturesque villages and towns. Engelberg, a sports resort situated at the foot of Titlis, reaching higher than 3000 m in altitude, is equally renowned around the world. Central Switzerland is one of the regions having the most to offer in terms of its diversity of sites.
